‘Brambles’ depicts talented artist Freya Bramble-Carter at the potting wheel. Freya grew up in the ceramics studio of her father Chris Bramble, a sculptor and teacher, handling clay and firing pots at an early age. The painting was built up over a number of sittings at the Ceramicists Kingsgate Workshop in north-west London.
